Privacy Policy

Last updated · June 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of Your information when You use the Dart Motion mobile application, and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.

100% on-device pose analysis

Raw video frames are processed locally on your phone by Google ML Kit. They are not sent to our servers unless you explicitly save or share a clip.

1. Interpretation and Definitions

1.1 Interpretation

Words with capitalized initial letters have meanings defined under the following conditions. These definitions apply whether they appear in singular or plural.

1.2 Definitions

  • Account: A unique account created for You to access the Service or parts of the Service.
  • Company (referred to as "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our"): refers to PMJ HOLDINGS LIMITED, the operator of the Dart Motion application.
  • Device: Any device that can access the Service, such as a mobile phone or a tablet.
  • Personal Data: Any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
  • Service: Refers to the Dart Motion mobile application.
  • Service Provider: Any natural or legal person who processes data on behalf of the Company, including third-party authentication, cloud storage, crash reporting, and on-device ML providers.
  • Usage Data: Data collected automatically, generated by the use of the Service.

2. Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

2.1 Types of Data Collected

Personally Identifiable Information. While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide certain information that can be used to contact or identify You. This includes:

  • Email address
  • First name and last name
  • Profile information You choose to enter (e.g., dominant throwing hand, skill level)

Video Content. Video recordings of dart throws You choose to analyze. Raw video frames are processed on-device by Google ML Kit for pose detection; the frames themselves are not transmitted to Our servers. If You explicitly save, export, or share an analyzed clip, that clip is transferred for storage and/or sharing as You request.

Training and Performance Data. Scores, throw averages, session timestamps, achievements, and other gameplay metrics generated while using the Service.

Subscription Receipts. When You purchase a Pro subscription, We receive a transaction receipt from Apple App Store or Google Play, which We use solely to verify Your subscription status. We do not receive or store payment-card details.

Usage Data. Collected automatically when using the Service. This may include Your Device's IP address, unique device identifiers, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, and feature interaction logs.

Crash and Diagnostic Reports. Anonymous crash reports collected through Firebase Crashlytics, including device model, OS version, stack traces, and an installation-level identifier. These reports help Us diagnose and fix bugs and never include the contents of Your videos.

2.2 Tracking Technologies

We use limited tracking technologies (such as analytics events and crash reports) to monitor activity on the Service and improve it. You may instruct Your device to limit these technologies through Your OS privacy settings; doing so may prevent some features from working.

3. Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the Service, including monitoring and analyzing dart-throwing technique.
  • To manage Your Account, giving You access to features available to registered users such as progress tracking, history resume, and Throw Reports.
  • To contact You by email, in-app notifications, or push notifications regarding important updates, security alerts, or informative communications about features You have enabled.
  • For business transfers: in the event of a merger, sale, acquisition, or asset transfer, Personal Data may be among the transferred assets.
  • For analysis and improvement, using aggregated information to identify usage trends and evaluate the effectiveness of features and training drills.

4. Sharing and Retention of Data

  • Sharing with Service Providers: We may share Your information with providers who help Us operate the Service — examples include Google Firebase (authentication, database, crash reporting, push notifications), Apple App Store and Google Play (subscriptions), and Google ML Kit (on-device pose analysis).
  • Sharing with Other Users: If You participate in community features, content You choose to make public may be viewed by other users.
  • Retention: We retain Your Personal Data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy or to comply with legal obligations. Account-linked data is retained while Your Account is active and deleted on Your request as described in Section 6.
  • International Transfer: Your information may be processed at the Company's operating offices and at facilities of Our Service Providers, which may be located outside Your jurisdiction.

5. On-Device Processing

A core principle of Dart Motion is local-first processing.

  • Pose and motion analysis runs entirely on Your device using Google ML Kit.
  • Raw video frames are not transmitted to Our servers as part of analysis.
  • Only the derived metrics (such as your throw averages, posture scores, and timestamps) and clips You explicitly save or share are sent to Our cloud services.

This design minimises the amount of personal data that leaves Your device.

6. Account Deletion and Your Rights

8. Disclosure and Security

  • Law Enforcement: The Company may disclose Personal Data when required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose data to protect and defend the rights or property of the Company, prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing, or protect the personal safety of Users.
  • Security: We use commercially reasonable measures to protect Your Personal Data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure; We cannot guarantee absolute security.

California residents have additional rights, including the right to know what Personal Data We collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate data, to opt out of "sales" or "sharing" of Personal Data, and to limit the use of sensitive Personal Data. We do not sell Your Personal Data. To exercise these rights, contact support@dartmotion.com.

9.2 European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If You are located in the EEA or UK, our lawful bases for processing include: performance of the contract (providing the Service), Your consent (e.g., for push notifications), and Our legitimate interests (e.g., diagnosing crashes). You have the rights described in Section 6 and may also lodge a complaint with Your local data-protection authority.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service does not address anyone under the age of 13, and We do not knowingly collect Personally Identifiable Information from children under 13. If You are a parent or guardian and become aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data without Your consent, please contact Us so We can take steps to remove that information.

For users between the ages of 13 and 16 in jurisdictions where consent of a parent or guardian is required (such as parts of the European Economic Area), processing of Personal Data requires the consent of a parent or guardian.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top. Where required by law, We will obtain Your renewed consent.
